Every detail of this Grimes backyard was chosen to feel cohesive from stone to soil.
County Materials Vantage pavers in Allure set the foundation, finished with a two-course border in Beckon and Vision that adds dimension and definition. At the center: a 3x3 Summit Stone fire pit in Enlighten, built for late nights and good company.
The surrounding beds were planted with Karl Foerster feather reed grass and Elijah Blue fescue; soft, sculptural grasses that move with the breeze and connect the palette of the home directly to the landscape.
Dyed black mulch grounds the composition, giving the finished space the polished, intentional feel the client had envisioned from the start.

The large-format field pavers in a warm charcoal blend are laid in a classic pattern, anchored by a crisp charcoal brick border that traces a graceful curve along the outer edge. The standout detail: a precision-cut planter opening integrated directly into the paver field, framing an existing lamp post and plantings as a deliberate design feature rather than an afterthought.
